the long hard road
I think my favorite thing about being at college, and realizing it’s just about time to move on, is that it doesn’t really end. Most of the friendships I’ve made here will probably continue for a long time, being a continuation instead of a solid conclusion.
It makes this whole “journey towards home” idea less of a difficult thing to bear, and more a difficult thing meant to be enjoyed. We’re allowed to enjoy the journey itself instead of waiting for the arrival to find all the joy we’ve been looking for.
